A nice museum for those who enjoy history and those who imagine finding treasure. A family looked for a sunken ship that travelled the river, but the river path had changed. They found many treasures… Full review by Susan F

Questions & answers

Q:
What age of children would enjoy this
A:
We took our 8yr old and she loved it. I would say it would not be a good choice for a inattentive child,
Q:
Is it pet friendly?
A:
I don’t believe so. When we were there there were absolutely no pets around anywhere cause there is the food market in there as well as shops and antique artifacts
Q:
Is it handicap accessible?
A:
I'm almost positive it has an elevator for handicapped but call to make sure. If you go on a Saturday there is a farmers market which is a good size if weathers nice. Arabia 816-471-1856

Admission costs for seniors (60+) is $13.50. My husband and I and another couple enjoyed our time there for approximately three hours; we could have easily spent most of the day there, because there is so much to see and read. If you decide to visit the museum, we suggest you get there earlier than we did, which was around 2pm (closing time is 5pm). The tours begin every half hour, with the last tour at 3:30pm. We hope you enjoy it as much as the four of us did!

Well, Calgary, the snorkeling during the late Cretaceous period was fantastic. The sea monsters probably would have snacked any snorkelers, though. There was a huge inland sea at that time and you can find fossils all over the place. Other than the fact that the sea is gone, Kansas City is just like Florida.
