The Rangers were banking on him returning to that form alongside Fox once again, but they’ll have to wait to get him back in the regular rotation.

Lindgren has been a staple for the Rangers since 2019-20, with 333 career regular-season games played and another 43 in the playoffs. The 26-year-old signed a one-year, $4.5 million contract in July and will be an unrestricted free agent next summer.
