The Guardian, the London-based left-leaning newspaper whose editor-in-chief recently offered staffers free mental health counseling to cope with President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, will no longer post on Elon Musk’s X to protest “far-right conspiracy theories and racism” on the social media platform.

It has accused X of promoting "disturbing content", and says Mr Musk is using it to "shape political discourse."

The Guardian newspaper has announced it is quitting Elon Musk’s X because it is a “toxic” social media platform. In an article on the publication’s website, the Guardian said the “benefits of being on X are now outweighed by the negatives” and will focus its efforts to promote its journalism elsewhere.
