An Ohio sheriff has deleted a social media post in which he said people with Kamala Harris yard signs should have their addresses written down so that immigrants can be sent to live with them.

The decision came a week after the sheriff said in public Facebook posts that residents should “write down all the addresses of the people who had her signs in their yards.”

The Ohio sheriff who urged his followers to record the addresses of people with yard signs supporting Vice President Kamala Harris will no longer head security at the county’s early voting location.

The Portage County Sheriff's Department will no longer provide security for early voting at the board of elections after remarks made by its leader.

The board’s decision stemmed from a Sept. 13 Facebook post by Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski, who used insulting language while referring to Vice President Kamala Harris, McClatchy News reported.

In a statement on the Portage County Democrats’ Facebook page, county board of elections chair Randi Clites said members voted 3-1 Friday to remove the sheriff’s department from providing security during in-person absentee voting.

In the normal course of events, Portage County Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski's deputies would be expected to provide security for this year's presidential election. Unfortunately, Zuchowski publicly threatened Kamala Harris voters on social media,
