RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The bear that was rescued by fire crews from the Davis Fire had to be euthanized due to its injuries. The Nevada Department of Wildlife says the bear, named Nugget, had its condition worsen substantially since Sept. 20.

Davis Fire in Reno now 92% contained Tuesday after fire burned over 5,800 acres, TMFR says
Containment moved to 92% as of Tuesday morning, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue said in a release. No active suppression or mop-up is occurring at this time, TMFR said. Fire personnel is currently patrolling fire activity and repairing affected areas.
