Unofficial results show Michelle Watkins has upset incumbent Devyn Keith in the City Council District 1 runoff.

Ider Police Department officials are asking the public to avoid Hwy. 75 and the intersection of Dogwood Dr. due to a fatal wreck.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Reggie McKenzie said Friday that he would be endorsing Devyn Keith for the District 1 City Council seat. Michelle Watkins nearly won the Aug. 27 municipal election without a runoff, getting 49.5 percent. Keith, a two term incumbent, got 40.8 percent.

An incumbent was knocked from his Huntsville District 1 City Council seat and a new name is coming to the Huntsville Board of Education following Tuesday’s runoff election.
