"LSU never, under any circumstances, condones the throwing of debris onto the field of play at any of its venues," the athletic department said in a statement. "This kind of unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated, and we will take immediate steps to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.”

LSU and Ole Miss have both been fined by the SEC for violations of conference rules. The Tigers will be the second school fined $250,000 this season for fans throwing trash and debris on to the playing surface,

The SEC announced on Monday that it is fining LSU and Ole Miss for actions of the home fans during their respective games in Week 11 against Alabama and Georgia. LSU lost to Alabama, 43-13, leading to fans acting out. That will cost the school $250,000.

The SEC fined Ole Miss $350,000 after fans stormed the field in their win against Georgia. If they storm the field again, they'll be fined $500,000.
